NEXTGEN RICE MILLING

Koolmill is the industrial lead on a £2m project to create a global first: a data-driven digital rice mill. Real time data will be used to autotune and reconfigure machines, optimising processing performance and maximising food and economic returns.

Real time data collection and local edge computing will allow for automatic day to day operational management of machines. The collection of a wider data set from the future global machine base will enable artificial intelligence and data analytics to identify issues at early stage and move mill management from reactive to proactive. This ensures a significant and guaranteed increase in performance, machine failure is minimised and components lifespan can be monitored - all of which lead to overall increase in profitability for the miller.
