Koolmill is adapting its unique technology to develop a husking solution that compliments the existing rice milling machine. This allows for the development of an optimised, low power, gentle, end to end paddy to white rice processing solution. The efficient husking of rice will improve bran purity, a valorised by-product that can be used in a range of nutritious foods.
Working in collaboration with the National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering, pioneering simulations using the Discrete Element Method are guiding the development of the efficient husking solution.
